Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
Instructor: Mrs. Wright
PBIS is a decision-making framework that is used to increase academic performance, decrease problem behavior, and establish a positive school climate.  At Liberty we focus on acknowledging students for positive behavior.  Routines and language with respect to appropriate school behavior are consistent throughout the school.  School-wide expectations are taught to all students and practiced to ensure understanding.  Students are rewarded for following the Liberty guidelines. At Liberty we also take into account issues of race, ethnicity, and culture in our PBIS framework to ensure that the outcomes of our PBIS plan benefit all groups of students.  Our goal is to create an environment in which positive behavior "works better" than problem behaviors for all students.

  • Being entered into their class "Hawk Hero" contest each month
